This experimental application is designed to view web pages directly in Telegram or to download them to the phone's memory for later viewing. You may need this to view pages whose URLs are blocked where you are, or for anything else that you find convenient, useful, or interesting 🙂
In order to load a web page you need to go to the [Web pages] menu
Next, go to the [Enter page URL] menu
Then, enter the desired page URL, such as this:
After that, the bot will queue your request for processing and you will receive a corresponding notification:
If there are few requests in the queue - your request will be processed quickly, if not - you will have to wait for a while for the bot to process all the requests before yours. As soon as the bot fulfills your request, you will receive a notification:
After that, you need to go back to the [Web pages] menu
You'll see the URL of the page in the header
and a new [Page view] menu item
When you go there, you'll see a page view menu:
The [Page Up] and [Page down] buttons allow you to pseudo-scroll the page, and if you click on the picture, you can read and take a closer look at the contents of this screenshot of the page.
At the moment, there is only one setting that allows you to choose in what form the bot will load pages for you for further viewing. There are three options to choose from:
The bot will take multiple screenshots of the page, scrolling down the page after each screenshot. How it works has already been described above.
The bot will save the page as a PDF file and offer you this file to download.
The bot will save all the resources of the page and offer you to upload it to the internal Telegram web application. Since Telegram allows to perform some operations for the Web App only through the bottom menu, the [Web pages] menu in this mode will look like this:
If you tap on the [Page view] button, the bot will warn you about going to the Web App, and if you agree to run it, you will see the web page after loading:
As I wrote above - this application is experimental and does not work stably, especially in Web App mode.
