This app is designed to help you find and meet people based on your cinematic preferences. You can choose a few movies that you like and the bot will find people with similar tastes for you.
There are also the usual dating app filters for age, gender and location. In addition, it is possible to design your personal profile page so that other people can get a more complete picture of you when deciding to accept or decline your invitation.
The result of this app will be a list of people who meet your criteria. The bot will not be able to transfer their contacts to you or your contact to them if you do not have a public name in the Telegram settings. You can read more about the public name here.
Therefore, the first thing you should do is to enter your public username in the Telegram settings.
Next, to work with the application, you still need to fill out these two fields at least:
1. Nickname
2. Gender
To select menu items, tap on the commands on the left in the menu bar.
For example, to change the nickname, you need to tap on /SET1
After this, you will be asked to enter your nickname in the text input field:
Next, you should specify your gender:
At the end of this guide, you will find instructions on how to make the rest of the settings and what they are for.
Once you fill out all the required fields in the settings menu, the [Movies] menu will become available to you.
Initially, it will only contain the [Search movie] option.
If you go to it, you can find the movie you are interested in by sending the title or words from the description to the bot. You can read more about how to search if you follow the link.
After that, the bot will queue your request for processing and you will receive a corresponding notification:
If there are few requests in the queue - your request will be processed quickly, if not - you will have to wait for a while for the bot to process all the requests before yours. As soon as the bot fulfills your request, you will receive a notification:
This means that you need to re-enter the [Movies] menu. You'll see the text with the results of the last query and a new [Search results] menu item:
In this case, the query "Avengers" found 113 movies , to view them - go to [Search results]. You'll see a menu to view the results:
If you tap on the picture, an enlarged view of the film poster will open.
The arrow buttons âŦ ī¸âĄī¸ are there to jump to the next or previous movie in the search results.
The eye button đ allows you to read details about the movie. It also contains an index to the current position of the movie in the search results.
The heart button â¤ī¸ allows you to add a movie to your favorite movies list. Next to the heart, you can see the number of movies in the list of favorites. At the moment, there could be up to five films on this list. If you tap on this button, the movie will be added to the list, which the bot will notify you about:
For movies that are already in the list, the add button â¤ī¸ is not displayed. If you want to remove such a movie from the list of favorites in this menu, then tap on the button with eyes đ, you will see a description of the movie and at the bottom there will be a button to remove the movie from the list of favorites:
If you tap on it, the movie is removed from the list and you will receive a corresponding notification:
As soon as you fill in the entire list, the heart will turn gray and you'll not be able to add any new movies there until you delete one of the movies already in the list.
After adding movies to the list of favorites, a new item appears in the menu to manage this list - [Favorite movies]
If you tap on it, you will see a list of your favorite movies:
In order to view and/or remove a movie from the list, for example "The Avengers (2012)" - you need to tap /VIEW1, after which you will see a description of the movie, the same as in the search results.
After you have a list of your favorite films, the [Contacts] item will become available to you in the main menu.
When you tap on it, you go to the [Contacts] menu:
Initially, only two options are available there:
Here you can refine the search parameters for contacts you are interested in, for example, set restrictions on the age range by taping /OPT3, etc.
If you entered your geolocation in the settings menu, you will additionally have access to a filter by distance to contacts who have also specified their geolocation. It will allow you to select contacts that are not further than a certain distance from you.
Once you have decided on the search parameters, you can send a request to search for the contacts you are interested in by taping [Search/Update] in the contacts menu.
The bot will send a notification:
This request queue is handled in the same way as the search queue described above. After the bot fulfills your request, it will send a notification:
You cannot send more than one such request within 30 seconds. If you try again earlier, you will receive this notification from the bot:
If contacts matching your search parameters are found, the [Found contacts] item will appear in your contacts menu:
This list contains the found contacts:
If more than five contacts are found, the bot will split this list into pages and display page navigation buttons. To view a contact, you need to tap on the command to the left of the name, for example, /CNTn1 for "Moby" you will see information about the found contact. If the contact has created a profile page, you will be able to view it, if not, it will only contain text information about the contact and a list of their favorite movies.
If you tap on the picture, you will be taken to a detailed view of this contact's profile page on the Telegraph, after reading the profile you will be able to decide what to do with this contact.
At the bottom there will be three buttons, from left to right:
If you decline a contact, or send an invitation, the corresponding icons will appear in the contact list:
As long as you don't send a request to update your contact lists by taping on [Search/Update] (described above), you can change your decision on a particular contact. To do this, you can click the opposite action, such as "accept" instead of "decline" or the cancel button if the action was previously selected. For example, this is what the cancel buttons look like if you go to view the contact again:
If you decline a contact, it will never be in your list of found contacts again. If you send a request and then a contact declines your invitation, they will never be in your list of found contacts again, and you will never be in their list again. So if you're not sure, it's best not to do anything with the contact you've found. After you submit an update request, the list of found contacts will only show those that you haven't decided on yet.
If after updating your contact list you have the menu item:
This means that someone has sent you an invitation to exchange contacts. This list works similarly to the list of found contacts.
Only the value of the green right button â changes when viewing a contact, if you press it, this means that you accept the invitation and after updating [Search/Update] such contact will be added to the list:
Now you can go to this list to see the real contacts of the user and start a regular chat with him in Telegram. To do this, you need to tap on the public name of the contact - Telegram will show you a standard message about a new contact.
If, for some reason, you want to exclude this contact from your list of accepted contacts, and remove yourself from its list of accepted contacts, tap on the delete to trash button when viewing the contact.
If you want to cancel your decision, tap on the restore from trash button.
Then click on the update of the contact lists [Search/Update].
And the last item in the contact menu is [History]
In this list, you can see what actions were performed by whom and when:
In order for you to use the distance to the contact in the search parameters and you yourself could be found using this parameter, you should tell the bot your location.
To do this, you need to tap on /SET4 and then send your coordinates to the bot by clicking on the button of the same name at the bottom.
If you decide not to send your current coordinates to the bot, just tap on the
[âŠī¸ Go back] button to return to the settings menu.
To view your saved location, tap on the [Your location] button.
The bot will then display a picture of your location:
If you tap on this picture, then, depending on the settings of your phone, either a messenger tab or an application with more detailed geo information will open.
In order for the bot to be able to show your profile page in search results, you need to tell the bot the URL (the address) of your profile page in Telegraph by taping on /SET5 (read more about this page here).
Then, in response to this prompt:
you should copy the address of your Telegraph profile page into the message input field, and send it to the bot. You won't be able to enter someone else's profile URL, you need to create your own page with a unique URL!
In order to see how the profile page will be shown in the search - tap on the
[Your profile page] button.
You will be shown a message similar to this one:
This is how your profile will be shown in search. To go to the profile page itself, click this message and your page will be viewed in the messenger:
Addresses are accepted both from the main Telegraph site, starting with https:///telegra.ph/, for example https://telegra.ph/02-Primer-profajla-08-29, and from the mirror one (for those who have the main site blocked) starting with https://graph.org/ e.g. https://graph.org/02-Primer-profajla-08-29
Moreover, if the link to the profile is entered from the mirror site, the bot will generate all the links to view the profiles of other users for your convenience also to this mirror site.
